The Cybersecurity Program of the Faculty of Computing and Information, Ain Shams University, seeks to prepare graduates with competitive capability within the dynamic world of the cybersecurity field, in order to meet the actual evolving needs of the labor market at the local, regional and global levels.

Achieving excellence in cybersecurity education, by providing dynamic learning environment and promoting scientific. Graduating distinguished cadres in the field of cybersecurity possessing social and ethical values, having the ability to deeply analyze and think critically about contemporary cyber challenges. Applying creative solutions in the field of cybersecurity to meet the needs of society and the changing labor market locally, regionally, and globally in a distinctive way that helps achieving integrated and sustainable development.

 

Aim

The BSc in Cyber Security (CSEC) program, validated at Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences in 2018, aims to graduate qualified security specialists, who are capable of using and applying digital security theoretical concepts, techniques and the technological means, which prevent the unauthorized use, misuse and retrieval of electronic information and the information and communication systems they contain, in such a way to enhance the protection, confidentiality and privacy of data from the cyberspace risks.

  • Recognize a breadth of knowledge, skills and techniques needed as a professional in computer science.
  • Develop knowledge in specialized and advanced topics in cyber security.
  • Work with and learn from active researchers in computer science and cyber security.
  • Evaluate the technical, social and management dimensions of computing systems and technologies from a security perspective.
  • Prepare students for the social, organizational and professional context in which they will be working.
  • Conduct scientific research in the field of cyber security that has a direct impact on society.
  • Display professional and ethical responsibilities, and contextual understanding.
